CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jan. 12, 2015 – Charlotte-based, full-service recruiting firm CEO Inc. (www.ceoinc.com) was recently given the “2014 Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business Award” by the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Charlotte Chapter (AFP). The award recognizes a small business (less than 100 employees) whose gifts or charitable activities enrich the Charlotte/Metrolina Region. Award recipients are considered role models of philanthropic activity serving multiple segments of the community.

“We are incredibly honored by the award,” said CEO Inc.’s CEO Debby Millhouse. “Most importantly it is a well-deserved acknowledgement for our staff who continues to raise the bar when it comes to giving back to our community with both their time and their money.”

The award came about predominately as a result of the tremendous success of CEO Inc.’s Giving Fund— a cooperative effort between the company and its employees. Each month a portion of company profits, along with voluntary donations from employees, is awarded to a different local charity that has been nominated and decided on by the employees. Since the program began in December 2011, over $300,000 has been awarded to organizations like Hope Cancer Ministries, Charlotte Rescue Mission, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Charlotte’s Urban League, Girl Scouts, Special Olympics, Bless Back Worldwide, Dove’s Nest, Lois’ Lodge and Well of Mercy.
