Automation Process Engineer
Xcentri’s Engineering and Manufacturing Division is actively looking for an Automation Process Engineer for one of our priority clients.
The company is publicly-traded and has continued to experience growth, winning several new programs for 2018 and beyond. They are interested in continuing to drive new business development efforts throughout the next several years. They manufacture and deliver highly engineered finished parts for use in the manufacture of products in the automotive, agricultural, truck, transportation and marine industries.

This Automation Process Engineer will be focused on converting existing manual processes to automated processes in support of a number of new programs for 2018 and beyond. The Automation Engineer will develop and support projects for automated tool and part movement to aid in assembly, make recommendations for capital improvements, work directly with process engineering to improve a multi-step manufacturing process and build intrinsic value in the plant. This role is an open slate for someone with a mind for both creativity and efficiency. This role will report to the Engineering Manager of the facility.
To be considered for this role, you must have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree. You must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience within a TS 16949 environment [automotive] and experience developing solutions for converting manual processes to automated processes. This role will also frequently interact with end clients, so both verbal and written communication must be developed and polished.
The role is located in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area. The Greenville/ Spartanburg area of “upstate” South Carolina is one of the fastest growing areas in the Southeast US. Spartanburg is the 2nd largest city within the “Upstate” area combining for over 1.3 Million people. It has all the features of a small town while giving easy access to the Smokey Mountains, Coastal Carolina, Atlanta and Charlotte.
