In this interesting article in The Charlotte Observer titled “Take a break this summer … but not from job searching” by Bobby Sisk, CEO Inc. president Debby Millhouse shares her thoughts about successful job search strategies during the summer months.

“Employers hire all year around – summer, too. It appears to slow down because decision-makers and candidates take time off for summer vacations, which slows the process. Additionally, students come into the job market and fill some of the available jobs,” she explained in the article. And although the Internet is a great tool for uncovering opportunities, she advised readers to spend “no more than one hour on the Internet each day. You can get lost there, and so can your job search.”

Church at Charlotte Employment Network is hosting a free seminar “Power Networking” presented by Debby Millhouse on Thursday, June 23  at 7:00 pm at Church at Charlotte, 2500 Carmel Rd. in Room W8. Register online at http://powernetworking.eventsbot.com/
